Substance Abuse Prevention Specialist Training Phase I

Day 1 & 2

The Iowa Department of Public Health (IDPH), in collaboration with Midwest Counterdrug Training Center (MCTC), is offering the Substance Abuse Prevention Specialist Training (SAPST). This four-day training provides a thorough overview of the prevention field and gives participants the knowledge and tools to build effective programs.  The SAPST curriculum is designed to provide up-to-date, evidence-based information to the prevention field. This newly revised curriculum has the most current information available on evidence-based prevention practices and programs. Through this training, participants and agencies will gain the ability to enhance their efforts and design prevention programs that will create real, long term results.
