Asian Gangs and Organized Crime

Crime perpetrated by Asian criminal gangs and organized crime groups is rapidly becoming a recognized factor within the law enforcement community from coast to coast. This rapidly evolving criminal phenomenon is examined in this three-day seminar focusing on organizational typology, crime methodology, culture, language and crime characteristics. Asian criminal organizations discussed include: Southeast Asian (Vietnamese, Laotian, Cambodian & Thai) criminal gangs, Hmong Gangs, Chinese Triads, Japanese "Yakuza" and Korean criminal organizations. The course additionally provides modified investigative and intelligence gathering techniques, carefully crafted and successfully tested to address these culturally divergent "ethnic" criminal organizations.
Asian Gangs and Organized Crime is a three day course. Instruction is broken down into the following blocks: International perspective of Asian criminality, southeast Asian Crime, southeast Asian drug trafficking, home invasion robberies, southeast Asian fraud schemes & counterfeit products, southeast Asian extortions, girl gangs, southeast Asian culture: customs, language and names, investigative tips, gambling and bookmaking, prostitution, Chinese organized crime, Chinese drug trafficking, Japanese organized crime, working in the Asian community, and Asian crime watch.
