Serving warrants that have a high probability for hostilities is one of the most dangerous activities in which a law enforcement officer can be engaged. Proper training is paramount if an officer is to react on instinct, accomplish the mission and protect his own life as well as those of his fellow officers.
Tactical Warrant Service is a 3-day course. It is designed to assist non-tactical officers in serving search and arrest warrants. Instruction is broken down into the following blocks: Recon, individual skills, breeching, dynamic entries, less lethal options, tactical firearms, negotiating halls and stairways, countermeasures and weapons retention, approach and forming up considerations, deploying from vehicles, and force on force exercises.
Required Equipment:
Hearing and eye protection
BDU or warrant service uniform
Body armor
Boots/Gloves
Flashlight
Duty sidearm w/3 magazines and holster
400 rounds of handgun ammunition
Any other equipment you routinely deploy with
Optional Equipment:
Weapon mounted light system
Ballistic shield (if you deploy with a shield, please bring it with you)
