This 5-day course expands dramatically upon topics covered in High Risk Event Planning: Level 2. Among the topics covered are advanced shield tactics and movements, safety concerns for operating in and around aircraft, techniques for operating and deploying from various vehicular platforms, vehicle approaches and defending against assault while operating from a vehicle, suspect approach and control techniques, advanced building clearing techniques, and technical equipment considerations for high risk operations. During the week the student will participate in numerous practical exercises designed to insure full understanding of the tactics and techniques taught during the course. SIMUNITION® weapons will be utilized during these exercises.
Students should bring their body armor, eye protection, gloves and any other entry related or safety equipment which they would employ in a high risk operation. Protective equipment to be used when employing SIMUNITION® training aids will be provided by MCTC. This equipment will be necessary and required during practical exercises and scenario based training. Students should be prepared for training in potentially inclement weather conditions during practical exercises, and students should also be prepared to participate in training exercises which may exceed the normal eight hour work day. Students do not need weapons or ammunition.
Prerequisites: Students must be a graduate of MCTC's High Risk Event Planning Level 2 Course.
